Esteghlal Club to file a complaint against Beiranvand for his offensive celebration
Esteghlal Club, which lost the derby match to Persepolis 1-0 yesterday, has announced that it will file a complaint with the Ethics Committee against Alireza Beiranvand for his offensive celebration.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the club expects the Ethics Committee to take appropriate and decisive action against this player without any considerations, so that such behaviors are not repeated in Iranian football.
The Telegram channel ‘Footbali’ wrote that Mr. Beiranvand, the goalkeeper of Persepolis, performed a throat-slitting gesture to show his happiness after yesterday’s victory.
Hours after the match, Esteghlal Club also announced that it will file a complaint with the Football Federation about the refereeing situation in the league, which has cost Esteghlal many points and was repeated in the derby.
Yesterday, on the third of Ordibehesht, the match between Persepolis and Esteghlal was accompanied by many controversies, from the fans’ chants in support of Ali Karimi, Voria Ghafouri, and Reza Shah to the evacuation of the second tier of Azadi Stadium due to a potential collapse.
