European Athletics Federations Do Not Issue Visas

The European Athletics Federation does not issue visas

The Athletics Federation confirmed the news of the removal of two Iranian representatives from the Olympic ranking, announcing that Hossein Rasouli and Mehdi Pirjahan have been removed from the quota ranking because they have not participated in any competitions since the beginning of the year.

Rasouli stood on the top podium of the discus throw event at the Hangzhou Asian Games by defeating Ehsan Hadadi, but after that, no plan was made to improve his ranking.

Pezhman Motamedi, one of the managers of the Athletics Federation, says there is no plan to hold a European training camp. He told ISNA that we need to plan for countries where we won’t face issues. Right now, we have not been given visas for Greece and other competitions in Europe, so we need to consider alternative competitions.

So far, Iranian athletics has not secured any Olympic quotas for Paris other than Farzaneh Fasihi. Ms. Fasihi does not have visa issues for traveling to Europe because of her membership in a Serbian club.
