Emergency European Action to Support Iranian Protesters

While the course of public protests in Iran continues with ups and downs, the reflection of our country’s internal events in international media has not only not decreased but is continuously being followed by major Western media. After the tensions resulting from the serious action by the British government to address the situation created by the Iranian regime in recent days, now significant European countries have swiftly taken steps to hold a special meeting at the United Nations.

Germany and Iceland, on behalf of a large number of countries worldwide, have called for a special session of the United Nations Human Rights Council to officially examine the suppression of protesters and the violation of civil rights in Iran within the framework of binding UN laws and procedures. More than forty countries are requesting this meeting, and Iran has officially protested Europe’s action.
