The European Football Federation: Manchester United breaks the record for the most expensive team in history
UEFA, the European Football Federation, says the English team Manchester United had the most expensive lineup in club history last season.
According to UEFA’s financial and investment department report, the transfer expenses for this team’s players last year were estimated at one and a half billion dollars, breaking Real Madrid’s 2020 record of one billion four hundred million dollars.
In recent years, despite astronomical expenses, Manchester United has not managed to achieve significant success.
Last season, this team won the English League Cup and secured its first trophy under the guidance of its current manager, Erik ten Hag.
