Europe’s Effort for More Sanctions on Russia and Iran
Foreign ministers of the European Union member states will attempt to agree on more sanctions against Russia and Iran and another two-billion-euro military aid to Ukraine on Monday, December 12.
The EU foreign ministers will discuss the ninth package of sanctions against Russia, which will add two hundred more individuals and entities to the EU’s sanctions list.
They will also discuss new sanctions against Iranian officials and organizations for human rights violations during the crackdown on protesters in the country and for selling military drones to Russia.
Last week, the French Foreign Ministry announced that the EU is agreeing on a new package of sanctions against the Islamic Republic for suppressing protesters and sending drones to Russia for use in the Ukraine war.
