Execution of Death Sentence for Accused in Killing a Law Enforcement Officer Carried Out

The death sentence for the accused in the murder of a police officer was carried out.

The individual accused of the murder of Rahman Pordehqan, a police officer, was executed at dawn on Thursday, March 16, in the central prison of Khorramabad. Daryoush Shahoonvand, the Revolutionary Prosecutor of Lorestan, did not mention the name of the individual accused of Mr. Pordehqan’s murder.

The same official stated that the charges leading to the execution were direct involvement in the intentional murder of a police officer using a military weapon, disturbing public order by creating conflict and shooting with a military weapon, carrying and possessing military weapons and ammunition, showing off with a military firearm, intentional destruction of a police vehicle, and participating in a group brawl resulting in intentional bodily harm.

So far, the identity of the main perpetrator of Mr. Pordehqan’s death has not been announced, and the Lorestan prosecutor has only referred to him as someone with a history of several years of mischief in Khorramabad, Tehran, and Karaj.
