Execution of Two More Protesters

Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, two of the protesters, were executed this morning.

These two individuals were arrested during protests held on the fortieth day memorial ceremony of Hadis Najafi, one of the people killed in the protests, on November 3rd in Karaj.

The Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran had sentenced these two individuals to death in the case concerning the killing of a Basij paramilitary force member named Rouhollah Ajamian, which involved a total of 16 defendants.

Based on the initial verdicts issued, Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Mohammad Hosseini were sentenced to death on charges of ‘corruption on earth’ through committing crimes against national security, attacking security officers, and crimes against the physical integrity of individuals, which caused severe disruption of public order and insecurity in the country, leading to the death of Rouhollah Ajamian.

The initial verdict for these two was issued by the court last month on December 4th.
