Explosion at Tabriz Refinery

The public relations office of the Ashura Corps announced that following an incident related to the replacement of a nitrogen tank at the Tabriz refinery, eight people were injured.

Meanwhile, domestic media reported that the explosion of this tank in one of the refinery’s startup units created a loud noise, and smoke from it was observed around the refinery.

Domestic media reported that this incident did not result in any casualties and the refinery’s operations are continuing.

This comes after the head of the crisis management department of East Azerbaijan province earlier stated that the sound of two explosions heard in Tabriz was due to the neutralization and disposal of unexploded Israeli munitions in certain areas.
