Expressing Concern about the Health Condition of Saman Seyedi in Prison

The human rights news agency HRANA reports that Saman Seyedi Yasin, a rapper from Kermanshah and one of those arrested during the anti-government protests in Iran, has been deprived of necessary medical care despite having a nose injury.

The report states that Mr. Seyedi frequently suffers from nosebleeds at night and is unable to breathe through his nose. Despite X-rays and confirmation from the attending physician of a nasal fracture, his transfer to medical facilities is being prevented.

Mr. Seyedi was arrested on the 10th of Mehr (October 2) in Tehran.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network previously reported that Branch 15 of the Tehran Islamic Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolqasem Salavati, found him guilty of the charge of ‘moharebeh’ (waging war against God) and sentenced him to death.

However, according to HRANA, this sentence was recently overturned by the Supreme Court, and his case has been referred to an equivalent branch for re-evaluation.
