Support expressed by the Presidents of the United States and France towards the people of Iran
The French President’s visit to the United States and his important and crucial discussions with Joe Biden, held in a very friendly and unifying atmosphere, were accompanied by the issuance of an official statement by both countries and a declaration from the White House.
In a part of the issued statement regarding the specific issue of Iran, the Presidents of the two countries paid tribute to the people of Iran, particularly women and youth, and praised the efforts of the Iranian people to achieve their civil rights, which the Iranian regime claims to uphold but in reality violates.
Biden and Macron emphasized efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and to strengthen international cooperation to compel Iran to fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Another part of the statement also emphasized that the two countries and their allies will address Iran’s destabilization of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf and the expansion of its missile and drone programs in a new phase with new plans.
