Extraordinary Meeting of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution on Hijab
The issue of hijab and modesty was the second agenda item of today’s meeting of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution. Members discussed and exchanged views, noting that the adversary has approached this issue with planning and strategy and is attempting to seriously harm the family unit through this means.
Accordingly, the Ministers of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Science, Research and Technology, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, and the president of the Islamic Azad University presented reports on the actions taken and the plans for the year 2023 of their respective organizations. It was decided that in the next meeting, four other organizations would also present their reports for discussion and review by the members.
It was also decided that the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution would hold an extraordinary meeting next week to continue examining the issue of hijab and modesty. The aim is to approve and communicate strategic policies in this area and to determine the responsibilities of various organizations. The council will assess the guidance, supervision, and effectiveness of these policies, as well as the quality of their implementation by the responsible organizations, within a cultural approach.
