Ezzatollah Zarghami: SIM cards without filters will soon be offered to foreigners

Ezzatollah Zarghami, the Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, has stated regarding the provision of unfiltered SIM cards for tourists in Iran that he still believes in granting suitable SIM cards to meet the needs of foreign tourists. He has announced this as a travel service and a capacity-building measure for tourism.

He has explained that the process of approving this proposal is under review and consideration in various committees and has largely been approved.

Mr. Zarghami has expressed hope that in the coming days, this opportunity will be provided for tourists to have constructive communication with their home countries.

He has emphasized that Iran should not lose time in developing tourism and must at least provide basic services to boost this industry.

He said we cannot tell foreign tourists to use Baleh and Ita; they want to communicate from Tehran with Paris.
