Ezzatollah Zarghami: I Always Criticize the Headquarters for the Promotion of Virtue

Ezzatollah Zarghami: I always have criticism towards the Headquarters for the Promotion of Virtue.

In an interview with ILNA reporter regarding his comments on Twitter about the approach to promoting virtue and preventing vice, which drew reactions from members of parliament, Ezzatollah Zarghami said:

I have always criticized the Headquarters for the Promotion of Virtue. I believe that after all the unrest on the streets, interviews were conducted, and some officials are again making statements that are not appropriate. All the devoted and caring forces of society, not just political and social critics, but even like-minded and aligned friends, are present and strongly criticize such remarks. I also criticized it in my tweet. Everyone is saying that we don’t need this promotion of virtue and prevention of vice because its effects are negative.
