Faisal bin Farhan: Agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia doesn't mean resolving all differences

Faisal bin Farhan: The agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia does not mean the resolution of all differences

The Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister says the agreement with Tehran to establish diplomatic relations reflects the two countries’ desire to resolve differences through communication and dialogue, and should not be interpreted as resolving all differences between the two countries.

In an interview with the Sunday, March 12 edition of the Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Faisal bin Farhan emphasized that based on the agreement, he is looking forward to meeting with his counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

He stated that diplomatic relations should be established in the next two months, and it is natural for us to meet.

In this interview, the Saudi Foreign Minister expressed his concern about Iran’s nuclear program and stated that they ask Iran to adhere to its nuclear commitments and increase its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Faisal bin Farhan also emphasized that Saudi Arabia will continue to work with its allies and friends to ensure such an outcome.
