Fallahpisheh: Iran Negotiates to Address Biden's Electoral Concerns

Iran’s former National Security Committee head negotiates to address Biden’s election concerns

Eight months before the US presidential elections, the former head of the National Security Committee, Flahtpisheh, says that the partial negotiations between Tehran and Washington in Muscat are more aimed at solving Biden’s problems rather than addressing Iran’s issues.

In any case, both sides have missed opportunities for de-escalation, especially Iran, which, according to the implicit and belated acknowledgment of the Foreign Minister, has somehow sacrificed the revival of the JCPOA for the Ukraine war.

In my opinion, for a government that has turned negotiations with the US into a taboo, the current rush to the negotiating table aimed at addressing Biden’s election concerns is not assessed in line with the national interests of the country.
