Farbod Alavi Roshan Kouhi, a Baha’i citizen, was released from Evin Detention Center on an 800 million toman bail.

This Baha’i citizen was arrested on December 4, 2022, following a raid by security forces on his home in Sari, and his family was unaware of his situation for three days. Eventually, he informed his family in a brief call that he had been transferred to Tehran and to Ward 209 of the Ministry of Intelligence in Evin Prison. In September, Amnesty International issued a statement warning about the crackdown and increased security pressures on Baha’i citizens. With the onset of protests, the arrest of Baha’i citizens in Iran has intensified.
