Farhad Meysami's Mother Also Goes on Hunger Strike

Farhad Meysami’s mother is also on hunger strike.

Farhad Meysami’s lawyer says Farhad first went on a hunger strike in 2018 for the case of Nasrin Sotoudeh and Reza Khandan in Evin Prison.

This strike ended with the promises given to him by the authorities.

He was then exiled to Rajai Shahr Prison and went on a hunger strike again, but he did not publicize it to avoid upsetting the people. It’s strange because individuals go on hunger strikes to communicate a message to public opinion, but he does it secretly.

His latest strike, which pictures of it have recently emerged, began after recent events and the death of Mahsa Amini.

I once asked him about the risk of death from his abstinence, and he said that the possibility of death exists at any moment, but since he is a doctor and is knowledgeable about human anatomy, he knows what he is doing.

Although Farhad’s mother is very upset and suffers from being apart from her son, she respects her son’s wishes and ideas. At certain times, Farhad Meysami’s mother has gone on a hunger strike in solidarity with her son.
