Fars News Agency Denies 45-Minute Meeting Between Araqchi and Witkoff in Oman

Fars News Agency denied the 45-minute meeting between Araqchi and Witkoff in Oman.

A few hours ago, the Axios website, citing an informed source, wrote that Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special representative, and Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, talked for about 45 minutes on Saturday, a duration longer than what was officially announced.

After this news was published, the Fars website wrote that an informed source denied the American website’s report about the 45-minute duration of the talks between the Iranian Foreign Minister and the American side.

Fars News Agency continued to write that this informed source further stated that, in fact, this talk took place at the end of the negotiations and only lasted a few minutes, at the suggestion of the Omani side.
