Farshteh Tabaniyan, the lawyer for the protesters, was sentenced to three months in prison

Farzaneh Zilabi, an attorney, told the Emtedad Telegram channel that Farshteh Tabaniyan, a lawyer, has been sentenced to three months in prison.

She said, my client Farshteh Tabaniyan, who is the lawyer for some of the security-related defendants in recent events, was sentenced by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Mahshahr to three months of imprisonment on charges of propaganda activities against the regime. We will appeal this verdict and hope that the sentence will be overturned in the appeals court.

According to this report, Farshteh Tabaniyan, who is one of the lawyers of the Judiciary Lawyers’ Center, is representing several defendants from the November 2019 protests, the Mahshahr marsh incident, and the protests of the current year.
