Farzaneh Fasihi, Track and Field Champion: I Paid a Large Part of the Coach's Salary Myself

Farzaneh Fasihi, the track and field champion, said I paid a large part of the coach’s salary myself.

Farzaneh Fasihi, the Iranian women’s track and field champion, has said that she paid most of her coach’s salary with her own money.

Ms. Fasihi told Etemad Online that all the reward I received from the Athletics Federation was 50 million tomans, and the National Olympic Committee gave a reward of 30 million, which in total was 80 million, and with this money, I bought 1,300 euros and added 1,700 euros of my own to pay the coach’s salary.

The Iranian women’s track and field champion won the gold medal in the 60-meter indoor Asian Championships last year.

The Iranian track and field record holder says that now my husband is mainly responsible for the technical aspects of my work, and the person who was previously my permanent coach now plays more of a consultant role for me, and at some point, working permanently with him became financially unfeasible for me.
