Fatemi Amin Remained in Office

Fatemi Amin was retained in the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade during a parliamentary vote in the absence of Raisi.

The impeachment plan for Reza Fatemi Amin, the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade, which was on the agenda of the Islamic Consultative Assembly today, did not receive enough votes, and Mr. Fatemi Amin remains in his position as minister by the vote of the representatives.

In today’s public session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, representatives who supported the continuation of the ministry and those who opposed Mr. Fatemi Amin’s continued service spoke, and then the parliament proceeded to vote.

According to Iranian news agencies, out of the 274 representatives present in today’s public session, 84 voted in favor of impeaching or dismissing Reza Fatemi Amin, 182 opposed, 6 abstained, and 2 votes were declared invalid.

Based on this, the impeachment proposal did not pass, and Reza Fatemi Amin remained in the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade.
