Figaro: Trump’s Delegation in China Was Under Unprecedented Security Measures
The Figaro newspaper reported that Donald Trump’s delegation during the trip to China was under rare security measures.
According to this report, members of the American delegation did not use their personal phones, and the identification cards and badges they received during the trip were destroyed before boarding Air Force One.
As written by Figaro, White House staff used temporary devices with limited capabilities, and their personal belongings were kept in Faraday bags to prevent tracking and cyber infiltration.
This report states that these actions indicate a high level of distrust from Washington towards Beijing, despite official negotiations on trade, Taiwan, technology, and Iran.
Trump, after leaving China, in response to a question about Beijing’s espionage, said, ‘That’s right, we always spy on them too.’
