According to the latest proposal, Iran will resume the free passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for the lifting of the blockade on its ports by the United States.
Despite progress in the negotiations, both sides still have disagreements regarding the sequence of steps, including the exemption of Iranian oil exports, the release of some frozen assets, and the return of agency inspectors.
Qatari intermediaries discussed the revised version of this proposal on Monday in New York with Abbas Araqchi and in Washington with American officials. Araqchi also said he expects the U.S. response to be provided on Tuesday.
