Finland has placed the Islamic Republic on the list of countries active in espionage
The Finnish Security Intelligence Service, Supo, announced that the Islamic Republic has currently adopted a more hostile approach towards this country compared to the past, and for the first time has been officially listed among the countries spying on Finland.
According to Yle Radio, previously only Russia and China were identified as active intelligence threats against Finland.
Supo has warned that spying against refugees is one of the common tools of authoritarian governments, including the Islamic Republic.
Supo has also warned of other potential security threats from the Islamic Republic and stated that the Islamic Republic might use organized crime groups as proxies to carry out various actions in Finland.
