The First Deputy of the Judiciary Resigned
Mohammad Mosadegh submitted his resignation from the position of First Deputy of the Judiciary to the Chief Justice.
The Chief Justice, while accepting the resignation request, stated that although your presence in this position has not and will not have any involvement or impact on the case in question, your resignation is accepted considering your request and the points you raised.
According to the Judiciary’s media center, Mohseni Ejei, the Chief Justice, has repeatedly emphasized that the judiciary must seriously confront corruption in all areas and fields without discrimination or leniency during the period of transformation and excellence. In this context, after a case was formed regarding the influence in some judicial cases, in which two sons of Dr. Mosadegh, the First Deputy of the Judiciary, are also among the accused, the Chief Justice stressed the need for precise, decisive, and comprehensive pursuit of this case until the final result is achieved and a legal verdict is issued. Mr. Mosadegh himself has also adhered to the Chief Justice’s approach to combating corruption without discrimination or leniency from the beginning of the case.
In this regard, Mosadegh, to prevent any suspicion of influence or impact on the ongoing case and to prevent misuse by adversaries and ill-wishers, submitted his resignation from the position of First Deputy of the Judiciary to the Chief Justice. In the text of the resignation, it is specified that the resigning official has had no contact with any of the parties involved in the case, including the prosecutors and judges, since the formation of the charges against his sons.
