First suspected case of monkeypox in the north of the country

Hussein Jalali, head of the Babol Health Center, announced yesterday afternoon in a gathering of reporters that a person infected with monkeypox has been identified in Babol County. He stated that a specialized team composed of dermatology and infection experts at the Babol Health Center is conducting the necessary tests on this individual, who is currently hospitalized.

He mentioned that the individual was identified within 24 hours and added that the necessary samples have been taken from the person in question, and ultimately, the sample results will determine the final diagnosis.
