Following the Arrest of a Danish Citizen, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran was Summoned to the German Foreign Ministry

Following the arrest of a Danish citizen, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran was summoned to the German Foreign Ministry.

After German prosecutors announced that a Danish citizen with Afghan background was arrested on suspicion of spying for the Islamic Republic of Iran and gathering information about locations and individuals associated with the Jewish community in Berlin, the German Foreign Ministry stated that the Iranian Ambassador would be summoned to the ministry on Tuesday, July 10th.

According to a statement from the German prosecutor’s office, the Danish citizen with Afghan background, identified as Ali S under privacy laws, had identified three different properties in June.

It is said that these actions were part of preparations for subsequent intelligence operations, which likely included attacks on Jewish targets.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic in Berlin, in a statement, denied the allegations made in German media about attacks on Jewish sites.

Simultaneously, the German publication Spiegel also reported that a special unit from the Quds Force had issued missions to prepare for potential attacks in Berlin.
