Following the release of a video about the water in Gohar Kheirandish’s home, a water organization employee announced that due to a power outage, the toilet siphon water has returned to the building’s plumbing.
After a video was released showing the drinking water in the home of Gohar Kheirandish, an Iranian actress, turning blue, a Tehran Water and Wastewater Organization employee stated that the cause was the return of disinfectant materials from the toilet siphon due to negative pump pressure into the building’s plumbing.
In this video, Gohar Kheirandish said that after two hours when the electricity was restored, the water coming from the tap smelled, was blue in color, and had foam on it.
In response, the water organization employee, stating that the water quality at the first tap after the meter is very good, said, ‘We inspected the plumbing and realized that because the power was out, the water was also cut off, and due to negative pressure, water from the toilet siphon entered the building’s drinking water plumbing.’
In recent days, increased water and power outages and a severe drop in water pressure in various cities of Iran, especially Tehran, have created numerous problems for citizens and business owners.
The release of this video has also raised significant concerns about the safety of drinking water among the public.
