Football Federation's Reaction to the Rumor of Iranian Players Receiving Bribes from Qatar: I'm Not Aware and Have No Information

The reaction of the Football Federation to the rumor of Iranian players receiving bribes from Qatar: I am not aware and do not have information.

The Secretary-General of the Federation, regarding the publication of a list on social media accusing some players and the head coach of the national team of receiving bribes from Qatar and losing in the semi-finals of the Asian Cup, said: I am not very informed about this matter. After every tournament, some rumors and talks arise. I haven’t heard anything specific about this to address it seriously.

Mombini, regarding the rumor that these individuals received 180 billion tomans as a bribe from the Qataris, said: I am hearing this from you. Our players and technical staff, who worked hard in Qatar, have a special character that we have seen both on and off the field. Many rumors may arise on social media, but the Football Federation monitors these issues with full attention, and we have faith in the integrity and honesty of our team.
