For the first time in two weeks, the reciprocal attacks between Iran and the United States have stopped.
After 13 consecutive nights of U.S. attacks on Iran and Tehran’s counter-responses, no reports of new attacks from either side have been released since last night.
Despite the halt in attacks, the U.S. military has announced that it targeted and stopped an oil tanker that, according to the U.S., was attempting to break through a naval blockade.
No official explanation has been provided for this pause in hostilities, but at the same time, Iranian media have reported on a visit by an Omani diplomatic delegation to Tehran for consultations.
