The Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 5 million Iranians live abroad
The Deputy for Consular Affairs, Parliament, and Iranians Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the Plan for Inquiry on the Movement of Iranians Abroad and said that nearly 5 million Iranians live outside the country, with the United States, Turkey, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany being the five countries where most Iranians reside.
Alireza Bikdeli, the Deputy for Consular Affairs, Parliament, and Iranians Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spoke about the Plan for Inquiry on the Movement of Iranians Residing Abroad, stating that the issue of Iranians abroad is on the government’s and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ agenda. The High Council of Iranians Abroad is tasked with providing services and will make efforts to offer support.
He added that one of the resolutions was the approval of the Plan for Inquiry on Movement. This plan involves an online inquiry regarding Iranian nationals living abroad. Concurrently with the approval of this plan, a special commission was formed to examine the issue. The High Council and the special commission for the Inquiry on Movement represent the agency responsible for the movement of Iranians, ensuring that if anyone has questions about entering the country, they can provide precise answers.
