The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs claims that the allegation of sending Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia is completely baseless.
Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, regarding the claim of sending Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia, said that as has been repeatedly emphasized, the Islamic Republic of Iran opposes war and supports a political solution to resolve the disputes between Russia and Ukraine and to end military conflicts.
He emphasized that from the beginning of the Ukraine crisis until now, the Islamic Republic of Iran has never been part of this conflict and military confrontation and has always supported a political solution and bilateral dialogues to end this crisis and conflict.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the principled and declared approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the Ukraine crisis remains constant and unchanged, and the repetition of the claim of sending ballistic missiles to Russia is made with the political aims and motivations of some Western countries and is completely baseless.
He noted that the conventional military cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation has a history much older than the start of the Ukraine war. This cooperation is within the framework of bilateral agreements and based on international norms and laws, and is unrelated to the Ukraine crisis.
