The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry claims that the allegation of Iranian ballistic missiles being sent to Russia is completely unfounded.
Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated regarding the allegation of Iranian ballistic missiles being sent to Russia, that as has been emphasized repeatedly, the Islamic Republic of Iran, while opposing war, supports a political solution to resolve the disputes between Russia and Ukraine and to end military conflicts.
He emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never been a part of this conflict and military engagement since the beginning of the Ukraine crisis and has always supported a political solution and bilateral dialogues to end this crisis and conflict.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the principled and declared approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the Ukraine crisis remains consistent and unchanged, and the repetition of the claim of sending ballistic missiles to Russia is made with political aims and motives by some Western countries and is completely unfounded.
He noted that the conventional military cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation has a history much older than the start of the Ukraine war. This cooperation is within the framework of bilateral agreements and based on international norms and laws and is unrelated to the Ukraine crisis.
