The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the final role in the negotiations lies with the U.S. government.

Claims about Russia’s obstructive role in reaching an agreement are a diversionary discussion. In the Vienna negotiations, the main party that must take responsibility and help make the negotiations fruitful is the American side. The fact that the U.S. occasionally makes claims about the Islamic Republic of Iran or Russia’s role in the negotiations is mere deflection. As we have previously emphasized, the final role in the negotiations lies with the U.S. government, and even Europe is exactly behind the U.S. government in this regard.
