Former Director General of the Ministry of Oil: Air Quality in Major Cities is the Best Evidence of Fuel Oil Burning

The former director general of the Ministry of Oil says the air quality in big cities is the best evidence for the burning of mazut.

Mahmoud Khaghani stated that the mafias dominating the economy hinder the progress of the energy industry, and due to the lack of technology, we have lost 300 oil wells.

Unfortunately, mazut is currently part of the country’s fuel mix for the production of cement, steel, and many energy-intensive industries that now have low efficiency and high energy consumption due to the lack of access to modern technologies.

Our power plants have an efficiency of about 35 to 40 percent, and more than 60 percent of the fuel is wasted.

Therefore, in the oil industry, especially among senior managers, we have individuals who seriously need to read at least two books related to the energy industry in Iran and the world.
