The former president of the Football Federation said: In 1980, we could buy an apartment with 400,000 tomans, but now it doesn’t even buy half a kilo of walnuts.
Mohammad Dadkan, the former president of the Football Federation, in an interview with Radar, criticized the country’s economic situation and the heavy wave of inflation, saying that people are left alone under the burden of livelihood problems and no official takes any step to improve the situation.
To illustrate the sharp decline in purchasing power, he compared a memory and said that in 1980, he bought a 100-square-meter apartment for 400,000 tomans, but now the same amount isn’t even enough for half a kilo of walnuts.
Dadkan, referring to the difficult situation of retirees, said that the national broadcaster doesn’t even show images of the protests and grievances of this group, and he questioned where the wealth of the people and the country’s resources are ultimately being spent.
