Former Israeli Army Commander: Israel May Attack Iran Before the U.S.
Amir Avivi, a former commander of the Israeli army, stated that Israel might attack Iran before the United States does. He mentioned the topic of overthrowing the Islamic Republic, saying that this goal was not on the agenda a few months ago, but everything has changed. He added that the decisiveness of the U.S. has shifted inclinations towards toppling governments.
He also referred to the threats posed by the Islamic Republic’s proxy forces, stating that the key to the matter is the overthrow of the Iranian government, and with the collapse of the Tehran regime, its proxy forces will also crumble.
This former Israeli army commander, referring to developments after the Gaza ceasefire, said that public opinion had the impression that the war was over, but according to him, this perception is incorrect. Avivi emphasized that Israel is entering a phase of renewed conflicts on all fronts and linked the issue of Lebanon to what is currently happening regarding Iran.
He added that Israel is preparing for a battle in Iran and also raised the possibility of a preemptive strike from Iran. According to Avivi, the Israeli government and the country’s top security levels are warning Iran.
