Former Senator Comes to Aid of Senate Candidates

A former senator has come to the aid of Senate candidates.

Kamala Harris has now seized the political campaigning arena in America, and Trump is also seriously pursuing endless newsmaking to capture the headlines.

However, the reality is that the electoral situation has changed, and one of the key aspects of this change is the significant improvement in the position of Harris’s fellow party candidates for the congressional elections. Specifically, what has been sensitive and will become even more sensitive are the Senate races.

Democrats were already disappointed about retaining their majority in the Senate and still are.

After all, three Senate seats that Democrats held are in deeply red states.

West Virginia is a state where the work is practically done for Republicans, and Democrats have no way to retain its seat.

The two states of Ohio and Montana have two Democratic senators who are defending their seats this term.

These two senators are trying to maintain public support in their states by keeping their narratives and advertisements distant from Biden and Harris, and by showing moderation and independence from Democratic discourse.

Senator Brown from Ohio and Senator Tester from Montana will have a tough job, which is not impossible but very difficult.

These two will not even attend the Democratic convention in Chicago to maintain distance from the party.

Interestingly, there is another senator who is terrified of attending the convention and being seen alongside Democrats, which is Senator Jacky Rosen from Nevada. Recent news might make her somewhat hesitant.

The Cook Political Report, a prominent expert group, released a poll, and its news was interesting for Democratic Senate candidates.

This poll was conducted in key presidential election states, and interestingly, it is also held in five out of seven key Senate race states. The position of Democratic candidates is good in all these states, and except for Wisconsin, their situation has improved compared to the time when Biden was in the races. Harris, who was a senator from California before becoming Vice President, has clearly supported the Democratic Senate candidates.

Even in hypothetical elections in Georgia and North Carolina, where there is no Senate race, respondents have turned towards Democrats.
