Four imprisoned environmental activists in Iran have been pardoned and will be released.

Four Iranian environmental activists who have been in prison since 2017 have been pardoned on Sunday and are set to be released.

Niloufar Bayani, Sepideh Kashani, Houman Jowkar, and Taher Ghadirian are the environmental activists whose lawyer announced their pardon on Sunday, April 8.

Hojjat Kermani, the lawyer for the environmental defendants, told the Shargh network, ‘I confirm this news on behalf of my clients and hope they will be released from prison in the coming days.’
