Frenchman Released from Iran Will Be in Hospital for Several Weeks

Frenchman released from Iran will be in the hospital for a few weeks

Benjamin Brière, a French citizen recently freed from Iranian prisons, wrote in a post on his Instagram page that he is currently in the hospital and this situation will last for a few weeks.

Mr. Brière wrote that it is now time for his physical and mental recovery, a phase that follows his 106-day hunger strike, and also marks the end of his three-year imprisonment.

He thanked everyone, especially his sister Blandine who worked hard for his release, and added that he is thinking of the four French and about twenty European individuals who are still held hostage by the Iranian regime.

At the beginning of his note, he wrote the word ‘freedom’ in Persian, and at the end, he wrote ‘long live freedom’ in Persian.

Last week, the French Foreign Minister reported on the physical weakness of Benjamin Brière and Bernard Phelan, two French citizens recently released from the prisons of the Islamic Republic, and announced that they are now hospitalized.
