G7 Foreign Ministers Condemn Israeli Settlement Building in the West Bank

The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven condemned Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank.

The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven condemned Israel’s actions to legalize five settlements in the West Bank.

In a part of the statement, which was also published on the German Foreign Ministry’s website, it is stated that the Israeli government’s settlement activity is inconsistent with international law and detrimental to the peace process.

The representatives of the Group of Seven, which consists of Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, France, and Italy, have also called on Israel to return all blocked tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority to maintain economic stability and regional security.
