The leaders of the G7 condemned the Iranian attack and called for restraint from all parties.

Joe Biden, the President of the United States, hosted a virtual meeting of G7 countries to coordinate a diplomatic response to Iran’s first direct attack on Israel.

Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, stated that ending the Gaza crisis as soon as possible, particularly through an immediate ceasefire, would make a difference.

Previously, the White House had announced that it did not want to see the crisis in the Middle East escalate. A U.S. security spokesperson said that it was up to Israel to decide whether to respond to Iran’s attack or not.
