Gas Supply to North Khorasan Offices Cut Off for Two Days

Gas supply to offices in North Khorasan was cut off for two days

The Director General of Crisis Management in North Khorasan Province announced the gas cut-off for offices and other executive bodies in the province on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 27th and 28th of February.

Gholamreza Shafigh stated that this decision by the Crisis Management Headquarters and the North Khorasan Governorate was made to prevent the potential drop in gas pressure in the residential sector due to cold weather. He added that on the 28th of February, offices are to start work with a two-hour delay, and one-third of the staff will be present at work.

According to him, the remaining employees who attend work should keep warm using non-gas heating devices.

On Monday, the 26th of February, the CEO of Tavanir Company also emphasized the need for optimal electricity and gas consumption in the country, citing the noticeable drop in temperature and the recent rain wave, and called for reduced electricity and gas usage.

The Director General of Crisis Management in Tehran Province also announced a reduction in gas supply to industries and offices in Tehran Province until further notice, stating that the aim of this decision is to ensure the continued supply of gas to the residential sector.
