The German army anticipated that the war between Russia and Europe would last a decade.
Despite a year having passed, the German army union does not foresee a short-term outlook for the end of the Ukraine war.
Andre Wüstner, the head of this union, says it is naive to believe that the war between Russia and Ukraine will end in 2023.
Andre Wüstner, the head of the German army union, said in an interview with the newspaper Welt am Sonntag on Sunday, February 26, that it is expected the conflict with Russia will continue for a decade for NATO and Germany.
He stated that Vladimir Putin will not abandon his war goals at present and predicted that the Russian president will continue his efforts to destabilize Europe.
According to Wüstner, Putin is preparing the Russian people for a long-term systematic conflict with the West, and NATO and Germany must strategically prepare themselves to face a decade of threats.
