Germany’s Foreign Minister: We will increase pressure on Tehran

Annalena Baerbock considers the execution of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Mohammad Hosseini as a reason for more pressure on the Islamic Republic

The foreign ministers of the UK and the Netherlands also criticized the execution of the two young Iranian protesters, while the arrest of protesters continues. On Saturday, January 7th, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock wrote in a Twitter message that Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Mohammad Hosseini are not just two names, but two people with a horrific fate. According to her, their execution encourages Germany, along with other European Union members, to increase pressure on the Islamic Republic even more.

In this message, Annalena Baerbock emphasized that the two young protesters were hanged because they refused to remain silent in the face of the regime’s violent and inhumane actions.

Baerbock has repeatedly criticized the inhumane nature of the Iranian regime in recent months.
