Germany does not issue visas to Russian athletes
Nancy Faeser, the German Minister of the Interior, threatened that if Russian athletes are allowed to participate again in global sports competitions, they will be barred from entering Germany by imposing stricter visa issuance measures.
The decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to reinstate Russian and Belarusian athletes into the world of sports has sparked various discussions and criticisms in recent weeks. Recently, during a meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland, this committee recommended to global federations that athletes from Russia and Belarus, who have been banned from international competitions, be allowed to participate under specific conditions as neutral athletes.
