Germany has evidence of war crimes committed in Ukraine.
Germany has announced that it possesses evidence and documentation of war crimes committed in Ukraine.
Peter Frank, Germany’s Attorney General, stated that Germany has gathered evidence of war crimes in Ukraine and believes that an international judicial process is necessary.
He mentioned that currently, for instance, we are focusing on the mass killings in Bucha or attacks against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, and the total number of our cases is in the three digits.
Frank said that Germany began collecting evidence for the prosecution of possible war crimes in March 2022, including interviewing Ukrainian refugees and assessing publicly available information.
He added that we are preparing ourselves for a potential future court case, whether it takes place in Germany, with our foreign partners, or in an international court.
