Germany Summoned the Iranian Ambassador

Germany summoned the Iranian ambassador

The German Foreign Ministry on Wednesday summoned the Iranian ambassador, reiterating its accusation regarding the involvement of Iranian entities in the attack on a synagogue in the city of Bochum in 2022.

The German Foreign Ministry announced on its social media account on X, formerly Twitter, that it had summoned the Iranian ambassador after receiving a written notice regarding the verdict of the suspect in the attack on a synagogue in the city of Bochum in 2022.

The German Foreign Ministry added that it has now shared this verdict with other partners and European entities and will conduct the necessary reviews concerning the next steps.

An Iranian-German individual was sentenced to 2 years and 9 months in prison last December for the attack on a synagogue in the city of Bochum in 2022.

Germany had previously summoned the Iranian chargé d’affaires in December in connection with this incident.
