Germany’s Reaction to the Expulsion of its Diplomats from Iran

The German Foreign Ministry has responded in a statement to the expulsion of its diplomats from Tehran.

In this statement, the expulsion of German diplomats is described as expected but unjustifiable, considering the expulsion of Iranian diplomats from Germany.

The statement mentions that these diplomats have not committed any wrongdoing.

Today, in a reciprocal action, the Iranian Foreign Ministry declared two German diplomats as undesirable and expelled them from the country.

Last week, Germany announced the expulsion of two Iranian embassy staff members in connection with the death sentence of Jamshid Sharmahd, an Iranian-German citizen.
