Qalibaf: Let them test our resolve once more so that we can give them a greater lesson
Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, appearing on national radio and television, made his first official statements after the ceasefire negotiations in Islamabad. He claimed that the Iranian team has shown initiatives to demonstrate goodwill, but progress in talks requires a change in Washington’s behavior.
Referring to what he called the 77-year wall of distrust and the recent rounds of talks that were halted by military attacks, he emphasized that the ball is now in the United States’ court.
Qalibaf considered the United States indebted to the Iranian nation and stated that if this country is looking for a way out of the war deadlock, the only way is to make amends and strive to gain Tehran’s trust, something which he said was less evident from the other side in the recent round of negotiations.
