Gharibabadi: We will continue legal pursuit of war crimes against Iran until results are achieved
Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Legal Affairs Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Islamic Republic will continue the legal pursuit of what he described as the war crimes of the United States and Israel against Iran until results are achieved. He mentioned that according to the emphasis of the Leader of the Islamic Republic, even if the investigation of these cases takes 10 to 15 years, the pursuit process should not be halted.
Gharibabadi said that so far hundreds of documents have been prepared regarding what he described as war crimes, and more than 1,400 pages of reports and legal documentation have been prepared for submission to international forums. He also added that over 120 documents regarding the role of some Gulf countries in recent attacks have been registered at the Security Council.
According to the Deputy Legal Affairs Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, these cases are being pursued through three channels: domestic courts, foreign courts based on the principle of universal jurisdiction, and international bodies. He also said that Tehran, citing the Chicago Convention, has initiated the necessary legal process to utilize the capacity of the International Court of Justice against the United States.
